Timex boasts its watches can "take a licking and keep on ticking" but designer Dzmitry Samal has created a line of timepieces with durable concrete housings that can probably endure a lot more than just a licking. It's just too bad that the cheap nature of concrete doesn't carry over to making affordable watches.
There are eight different designs in total that will each be limited to a run of just 100 to 150 pieces. And even though a bag of concrete won't exactly break the bank, these watches range in price from $1,190 to just over $1,500. Not as pricey as a Rolex, but far more extravagant than a Timex. You can pre-order one now before they all pre-sell out, but you'll have to wait until November for delivery of your designer timepiece that will happily take all of your abuse.
